Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using uppercase letters as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews from bloggers as well as the press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are among her most well-known recordings. Katy Perry shared a tweet in which Perry announced her new song Runaway. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory was of discovering an instrument in her attic and becoming enthralled by the sounds it would produce. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged Aurora to study music, not as work or for a passion however, as a chance to improve. Thus, she began with her own music. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as an appreciation for the style of Bjork. In response to her mother's suggestions that people shouldn't be trying at achieving fame through their songwriting skills, she instead realize the importance of themselves and their impact on society. The piano was first played by her when she was six years old and was writing her first song when she was nine. The family did not know about this until she turned 14. Aurora's success was never the goal of her. She claims that she enjoys creating songs. For her music, is the best method of expressing anything.
